DID YOU KNOW... There's a creek in the southeastern part of Hamilton County that flows into Story County on it's way to the South Skunk River called Long Dick Creek?

True story.

Starts north of Ellsworth then works its way east of Randall and flows down between Story City and Roland. It's what they call a tributary.

Long Dick Creek was named after one tall man named Richard "Long Dick", an early settler. It's been a long time destination for Stanhope State students for a fun day of tubing down stream in the summer.

Now you can have a fun random knowledge nugget for your friends for the next garage drinking session.
